A week after its launch in Brașov, Asternova Centru brought its regional investment mandate into discussions with founders and investors gathered at How to Web. On 7 October 2026, together with Asternova Vest and Vest Ventures, we organised the third edition of Romanian Capital Circle at Jecza & Olaru Gallery in Bucharest.

The side event brought together founders, investors and startup professionals in a small, invitation-only setting. Discussions focused on the three funds’ strategies, startup investment and opportunities in the Romanian market.

Silvia Ursu, General Partner at Asternova Centru, Ionuț Țața, General Partner at Asternova Vest, and Cristobal Alonso, General Partner at Vest Ventures, shared their perspectives during the investment panel. The funds have distinct mandates but a shared interest: developing technology companies and financing their growth.

A regional mandate within a wider capital market

Asternova Centru invests between €50,000 and €350,000 at pre-seed and Seed stages in companies from Alba, Brașov, Covasna, Harghita, Mureș and Sibiu. Our knowledge of the region allows us to assess opportunities in context: the team, product, market and resources a company needs to move forward.

Romanian Capital Circle brings this perspective into dialogue with other investors. For founders, it offers an opportunity to speak directly with funds and understand how each approaches their company’s stage and ambitions. For investors, it provides a setting to compare strategies, meet teams and explore co-investment opportunities.

From the initial investment to growth financing

A pre-seed or Seed investment supports a specific stage of development. How a company uses that capital and the results it achieves will matter in subsequent funding rounds.

Working with other funds is therefore part of Asternova Centru’s investment activity. We are interested both in partners who can invest alongside us in the same round and in investors whose mandates become relevant as companies grow. At Romanian Capital Circle, this discussion brought together professionals working in the same market from different investment perspectives.

The fund has a regional mandate. The ambitions of the companies we finance can extend beyond the region, and their access to capital needs to support that growth.
