Who we are
Asternova Centru is a regulated regional venture capital fund for pre-seed and Seed startups in Romania’s Central Region. The fund is managed by Aster Capital Partners and developed together with Iceberg+ and Venture Booster, with public capital provided through ADR Centru.
Depending on the nature of your interaction, the entity identified in the applicable fund documentation, form or communication will act as data controller for the personal data concerned.

What we collect
Information you give us. When you use our startup, investor or contact forms, or email us, we may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, company name and website, company stage, investment interests, your message, and any pitch deck or other documents you choose to upload.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, and pages viewed where necessary to operate and secure the website.
Cookies and similar technologies. These are described in the Cookies section below.
Why we use your data
- to review and respond to startup applications and investor enquiries;
- to assess potential investment or partnership opportunities;
- to communicate with you and manage our relationship;
- to operate, secure and improve the website;
- to manage activities relating to Asternova Centru;
- to comply with legal, regulatory and compliance obligations, including, where applicable, AIFMD, investor identification and verification (KYC).

Who we share it with
Where necessary and on a need-to-know basis, personal data may be shared with organisations involved in the management and operation of Asternova Centru, including Aster Capital Partners, Iceberg+ and Venture Booster.
Where required for the operation, reporting or evaluation of the fund, information may also be shared with ADR Centru as the relevant regional public partner.
We may also share information with trusted service providers acting on our behalf, including:
- Tally (tally.so), for embedded forms;
- Netlify, for website hosting;
- Google Ireland Limited, for Google Analytics, where you have consented to analytics cookies.
Information may also be shared with professional advisers, auditors, regulatory bodies or public authorities where necessary or required by law.
We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
We aim to process personal data within the European Economic Area wherever possible. Some service providers may process information outside the EEA. Where this occurs, appropriate safeguards are used in accordance with GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
Startup applications, pitch decks and related materials may be retained for up to two (2) years so that we can assess the current opportunity and, where appropriate, consider future investment opportunities, unless a longer period is required by law or you request deletion where the right to deletion applies.
Other personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or to meet applicable legal, regulatory or contractual obligations.
Your rights
Under GDPR, depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion;
- restrict certain processing;
- receive certain data in a portable format;
- object to certain processing;
- withdraw your consent at any time where consent is the legal basis.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), at dataprotection.ro.

Cookies
We use necessary browser storage and, with your consent, optional analytics technologies.
Hosting and analytics
The website is hosted on Netlify.
Where you consent to analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with the website. Google Analytics may process information such as page views, interactions, device and browser information, approximate location and online identifiers such as the _ga cookie.
Google Analytics remains disabled until you choose to accept analytics cookies.
Forms
Startup, investor and contact forms may be embedded using Tally (tally.so). When you interact with an embedded form, Tally may use cookies or similar technologies necessary to operate the form, maintain security and prevent spam. Tally’s own privacy and cookie policies apply to its processing activities.
Fonts
Where Google Fonts are loaded directly from Google servers, your browser may make a connection to Google when displaying the website. Google Fonts itself does not require analytics cookies.
Managing your cookie preferences
The cookie banner allows you to accept or refuse optional analytics technologies. You can change or withdraw your choice using the cookie preference controls available on the website. You can also manage or block cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect the functionality of certain website features or embedded forms.
